The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to activities of a winery located in a dry county.
The bill would allow a winery permit to be issued for premises in an area in which the sale of wine has not been authorized by a local option election as long as the wine is at least 50 percent by volume fermented juice of grapes or other fruit grown in this state.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
