The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to certain warning signs required on certain premises.
The bill would require that warning signs located on licensed premises give notice that it is unlawful for a person to carry a weapon on the premises unless the weapon is a concealed handgun of the same category the person is licensed to carry. The sign must also indicate that the prohibition does not apply to peace officers. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
