No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would define the receipt date of an electronic mail public information request to be the first business day after the date that the electronic mail was received by the public information officer/designee as shown by an Internet protocol confirmation.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the requisite number of votes. Otherwise, the bill would take effect on September 1, 2005.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
