No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to allow disciplinary action resulting in the loss of good conduct time for an inmate who refuses to provide a blood sample or other specimen for the purposes of creating a DNA record. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005. Because the bill is not expected to substantially add to the inmate population, the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact.
