No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would authorize the State Auditor to employ investigators and to appoint one or more of the investigators as peace officers. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
No significant change in expenditures is anticipated due to appointing existing investigators as peace officers.
