No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code as it relates to certain documents issued in connection with the licensing of drivers.

 

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to delete the section establishing fees for a duplicate disability certificate or a duplicate health condition certificate. The bill would repeal the provisions of the Transportation Code that established the disability certificate, fees for the disability certificate or health condition certificate, and sections that provided an alternative in lieu of applying for a duplicate driver’s license or personal identification certificate for persons who move. Although the bill would delete the fee for a duplicate disability certificate or a health condition certificate, the fiscal impact is not estimated to be significant.

 

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2005.
