HB1830 by Wong (Relating to the notice provided for the establishment of municipal management districts. ), Conference Committee Report

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require a person, other than a member of the legislature, to notify the public of the person's intent to apply for the passage of a law that would establish a municipal management district.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
