No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would prohibit the discharge of a firearm or an arrow from any kind of bow in certain locations along a navigable river or stream in Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Kenedy, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, Maverick, Real, Uvalde, or Zavala counties. The prohibitions would not apply to an individual acting within the scope of their duties as a peace officer or department employee or to the discharge of a shotgun loaded with ammunition that releases only shot when discharged. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
