No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would prohibit the discharge of a firearm or an arrow from any kind of bow in certain locations along a navigable river or stream in Dimmit, Frio, Uvalde, or Zavala counties. The prohibitions would not apply to an individual acting within the scope of their duties as a peace officer or department employee or to the discharge of a shotgun loaded with ammunition that releases only shot when discharged. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
