No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Sections 1 - 11 of the bill relates to state agency use of the TexasOnline project. 

The bill would allow agencies and local governments to charge a fee for services provided by the TexasOnline project.  Sections 3 and 4 of the bill would require state agencies to notify the TexasOnline Authority of their intent to bid for Internet development services that might duplicate a Texas Online function.  The bill would also require that agencies advertise options for completing agency-related transactions online.

Section 12 of the bill would add Section 531.03131 to the Government Code to establish a child care and education services referral information system as part of the Texas Information and Referral Network (TIRN). 


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
