No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a municipally owned utility that diverts revenue derived from the provision of electric service to a general municipal fund or another municipal fund or account to jointly with the municipality publish notice in a newspaper having general circulation in the municipality, providing information about the amount of revenue diverted. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
