No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code relating to the prosecution of individuals for hindering the apprehension or prosecution of another. The change in law made by this Act would apply only to an offense committed on or after the effective date. The Act would take affect September 1, 2005.
It is assumed that any costs to the State resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed with current resources.
