No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would provide that a district clerk, a county clerk, or an employee of either, would not be criminally or civilly liable for the good faith release of information under the public information law if the item contains confidential information or if the person to whom the information was released distributes or otherwise publicizes information that should have been expunged or made confidential.
