No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to allow the exchange of inmate health care information between health care personnel of the Department of Criminal Justice, the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center without inmate authorization. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005, or immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members in each house.
