HB2196 by Madden (Relating to the transfer of surplus data processing equipment to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to receive surplus or salvage data processing equipment from a state agency or political subdivision. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote of all the members of each house. If not, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
