No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the payment of physicians and providers who do not have contractual relationships with a preferred provider benefit plan or a health maintenance organization.  Based on the analysis of the Department of Insurance, any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
