No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Family Code to remove the requirement of the Department of Family Protective Services from attempting to ascertain the identity of or locate the parent or relatives of a child who was delivered to a designated emergency infant care provider, unless it appears that the child has been abused or neglected.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
