No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would direct the Texas Building and Procurement Commission (TBPC) to develop and provide child care services for state employees and set specific performance standards for child care services in consultation with the University of Texas at Austin. TBPC may enter into a memorandum of understanding with the University of Texas at Austin to operate the child care program or contract with a private or public entity to operate the child care program. It is assumed that any additional duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.
