LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 13, 2005

TO:
Honorable Mike Krusee, Chair, House Committee on Transportation

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2422 by Frost (Relating to the designation of Farm-to-Market Road 2065 as the S/Sgt Herbert S. Robertson Jr Memorial Highway.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to design, construct, and erect markers designating the portion of Farm-to-Market Road 2065 from the intersection of State Highway 77 and Farm-to-Market Road 2065 to the Union Chapel Methodist Church as the S/ Sgt. Herbert S. Robertson Jr. Memorial Highway.

Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house.  If the bill does not receive a two-thirds majority vote in each house, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
