No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Water Development Board to establish a rainwater harvesting evaluation committee to study the feasibility of using rainwater as a source of water supply. The proposed committee would be composed of representatives of four state agencies with the representative from the Water Development Board serving as the presiding officer of the proposed committee. The bill would require that the committee provide a report to the legislature by no later than December 1, 2006.

Any additional workload resulting from the bill, including research costs and publishing costs relating to the required report would be absorbed within existing agency resources.
