No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would change what constitutes the boundaries of the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of a municipality with less than 5,000 inhabitants and would establish procedures for apportioning that ETJ if on September 1, 2005 the expanded ETJs of more than one municipality with less than 5,000 inhabitants overlaps. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
