No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code as it relates to the waiver of civil process continuing education requirements for constables and deputy constables by the Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. If the bill does not receive the necessary vote, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
