IN RE: | HB2668 by Dutton (Relating to the performance by a private entity of the functions of a local child support registry.), Conference Committee Report |
The bill would allow a private entity to perform the duties and functions of a local child support registry only under contract with a county commissioners court or a domestic relations office executed under Section 204.002 of the Family Code or under and appiontment by a court.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005.
