No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill changes the credentialing for massage therapists, requiring them to be licensed instead of registered. The bill imposes record keeping requirements for massage establishments and massage therapists and imposes restrictions and prohibitions on certain activities and forms of attire in massage establishments. Existing Department of State Health Services staff will revise rules related to massage therapists and redesign and revise certificates and public information materials.
