LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 10, 2005

TO:
Honorable Robert Talton, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2714 by Menendez (Relating to the operation and functions of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analysis by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), the provisions of the bill would have no fiscal impact to the state.

Local Government Impact

Local governmental entities that were awarded federal low-income housing tax credits in the uniform state service regions that are determined by TDHCA to have been previously underfunded would benefit from the allocation of additional funds.
