No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish requirements for individuals in certain counties to become a surety on a bail bond. The bill would also remove the reference to appearing before the district court when discussing appearance of a defendant to answer any criminal accusation when an indictment has not been presented. Procedural changes for citation to sureties and requisites of citation would also be made to statute.
