IN RE:
HB2781 by Rodriguez (Relating to an exception for certain employees from the application of the employment-at-will doctrine.), As Introduced

The provisions of the bill amend the Texas Labor Code by adding a new chapter, Restriction on Application of Employment-at-will Doctrine to Certain Employees. The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) must prescribe through its rules the design and content of the signage and may adopt rules necessary to implement the provisions of the bill.

TWC indicates that any cost associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
