No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to exempt the purchase of vehicle fuel or the purchase of firefighter bunker gear by an emergency services district from the requirement for the use of the competitive bidding process. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
