No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault to the offenses for which a magistrate may order emergency protection. The bill would prohibit a defendant charged with sexual assault or aggravated sexual assault from waiving magistration if a request for a Magistrate's Order for Emergency Protection is pending.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
