No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to restrict part-time fire protection employees with fire suppression duties from working more than 500 hours per year for a fire department in a municipality with a population greater than 30,000 people, or 750 hours per year, excluding training hours but including on duty hours, in a fire department with less than 10 full-time firefighters in a municipality with a population less than 30,000 people that is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the municipality and the full-time firefighters.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
