No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Government Code, Section 419.0321(e) to restrict part-time fire protection employees with fire suppression duties from working more than 500 hours per year for a fire department in a municipality with a population greater than 30,000 people, or more than 1,000 hours per year in a fire department in a municipality with a population less than 30,000 people.
