No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a person who owns or controls private property used for parking to designate a parking space or area by conforming to the standards and specifications adopted by the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation (TCLR) under Section 469.052, Government Code. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Under current statute, a private property owner must conform to the standards and specifications of the TCLR only if required by a political subdivision.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
