No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 43, Local Government Code, to exempt from the provisions of the chapter that prohibit reduction of the extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality without written consent of the municipality's governing body the annexation of an area that is less than 100 acres and upon completion of the annexation, all of the water or sewer districts would be within the boundaries of the annexing municipality.
