Honorable Mary Denny, Chair, House Committee on Elections
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3207 by Zedler (Relating to certain criminal conduct in election matters; providing penalties.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Election Code to increase the levels of offenses for criminal conduct related to elections.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Local law enforcement and courts would see some costs to prosecute the offenses at the higher levels, but the number of cases is not expected to be significant.
