No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill requires the Governor use no less than 10 percent of the amount awarded from the Texas Enterprise Fund in each state fiscal biennium for grants to foster and support alternative research centers. The bill requires the Coordinating Board to develop and implement a grant program to foster and support alternative research centers.
