No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code by adding Chapter 146 to authorize certain municipalities to enter into a written agreement with a municipal employee association regarding issues of wages, salaries, rates of pay, hours of work, and other terms and conditions of employment. The bill would establish the required procedures for establishing and enforcing an agreement. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
