No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the expunction of certain alcohol-related convictions committed by a minor. 

 

The bill would allow a person convicted of one violation of the Alcoholic Beverage Code to apply to the court in which the person was convicted to have the conviction expunged.  An applicant would be eligible to have the conviction expunged if it has been at least one year since the offense date and the applicant is at least 19 years of age.  

 

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2005.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
