No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Election Code to require audio-video recordings of each examination of voting systems be created and made available to the public upon request.

The bill would also require the Secretary of State to provide notice of all proposed certification decisions and accept public comment relating to examination of voting systems in accordance with certain sections of Government Code. It is anticipated that any costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed by existing resources.
