No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the regulation of certain promotional activities conducted by alcoholic beverage permit and license holders.  The bill would delete certain sections of the Alcoholic Beverage Code requiring that a promotion be conducted in 30 or more states before a permittee may offer prizes, premiums, gifts, or sweepstakes.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
