HB3435 by Hartnett (Relating to guardianships.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Section 633(d), Texas Probate Code, to require notification of application of guardianship to all adult siblings of the proposed ward if the applicant is not the proposed ward's spouse.

The bill also amends Section 727, Texas Probate Code, to allow appointment of appraisers of the estate after the letters of guardianship have been granted on the court's own motion for good cause shown.
