No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would authorize a public agency or a county to offer or contract to offer street lighting services to persons in its territory and to require persons in that area to use the services and to pay a fee for the services. The lighting services could be established as a separate utility. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
