The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $66,497.

The resolution would propose a constitutional amendment to allow the Legislature to authorize a local option property tax exemption for all taxing units, not to exceed $50,000, for a disabled veteran who had received the Purple Heart and had a disability rating of more than 70 percent.

The proposed amendment alone would have no fiscal impact on the state or units of local government.  The enabling legislation associated with this proposed constitutional amendment is HB 2784.
