No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.


The bill would amend the Health & Safety Code, Section 242.049 and require the Department of Aging and Disability Services to adopt rules requiring all licensed nursing homes in the state to submit information designated by the department, including minimum data set (MDS) reports.

 

The bill would amend Section 32.028, Human Resources Code, by adding Subsection (n) requiring the Health and Human Services Commission to ensure that rules governing the determination of rates paid for nursing home services provide for the reporting of all revenue and costs, without regard to whether a cost is an allowable cost for reimbursement under the medical assistance program.
