No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Texas Department of Insurance indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.  The Texas Department of Insurance's Life, Health and Licensing area indicates that it may have to change internal processes and product resource guides.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
