No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill amends the Transporation Code to require the border commerce coordinator to serve as the presiding officer of the Border Trade Advisory Committee and the Transportation Commission to appoint members of the committee. It also requires the Texas Department of Transportation to address the implementation of the committee's recommendations and update the International Trade Corridor Plan biennially. It is anticipated that the provisions of the bill can be carried out with existing resources.
