SB298 by Wentworth (Relating to the creation of an offense involving the supervision of a vehicle operator holding an instruction permit.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to make it an offense for a person who is supervising a driver who holds an instruction permit to sleep, to be intoxicated, or to be involved in an activity that prevents the person from observing and responding to actions of the driver.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
