IN RE: | SB342 by Brimer (Relating to the regulation of swimming pools in the unincorporated areas of certain counties as a public nuisance.), As Introduced |
The bill would add to the definition of "public nuisance" maintaining on any property in a neighborhood in a county with a population of more than 1.4 million, a swimming pool that is not protected as required by statute. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
The population restriction would apply to Dallas, Tarrant, and Harris counties. It is anticipated that costs for enforcement of an additional public nuisance requirement would be insignificant.
