SB707 by Van de Putte (Relating to the issuance of an electrician license to certain members of the armed forces.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code by stating that the Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) shall issue a license without examination to an individual who was on active duty in the United States armed forces during the period of March 1, 2004, to June 1, 2004, submits an application and any other information no later than the 90th day after the date the individual is released or discharged from active duty in the armed forces, has the experience required for a license under this chapter, and pays the application fee. According to TDLR, this bill would have no significant fiscal impact and it is assumed duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be covered by using existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
