No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit a municipality from applying a regulation relating to the discharge of certain firearms or certain other weapons in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the municipality or in an area annexed by the municipality. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
