No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would change the definition of "affiliated service contractor" as it relates to eligibility of certain organizations to join a risk pool established by a political subdivision for the purpose of providing uniform group benefits. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
